02 Vacuum Jacketing, Bellows Flex Joints & Vent Mast Clearance

Launch complex cryogenic propellant skids integrate multi-layered vacuum-insulated piping (VIP) designed for ultra-high flow liquid oxygen (-183°C) and sub-cooled liquid methane (-161°C). When transport trailers flex under road undulations, the differential movement between the structural skid base and the cryogenic piping can cause fatigue in stainless steel multi-ply expansion bellows or shear cold-finger supports.

Cold-Finger Support Trunnions

G-10 fiberglass-epoxy internal support trunnions minimize heat conduction while providing 3-axis restraint rated for 3.0 G dynamic highway shock.

Dual Relief Valve + Rupture Disc

Primary spring-loaded relief valves set at 150 PSIG backed by ASME-stamped burst discs at 180 PSIG to protect piping manifolds from thermal overpressurization.

Flame Arrestor & Vent Mast

Liquid methane skids require DOT special permit vertical vent stacks with stainless wire-mesh flame arrestors and positive nitrogen purge.
