01 Tuned Elastomeric Vibration Isolation & Ceramic Hybrid Bearing Protection

Megawatt-class aircraft turbogenerator power units combine high-speed gas turbines (operating at 25,000+ RPM) with high-power-density permanent magnet generators utilizing silicon carbide (SiC) windings and ceramic hybrid silicon nitride bearings. Stationary road vibration poses a severe risk of false brinelling (micro-fretting damage) to precision bearing raceways.

Dual-Stage Wire-Rope Isolators

Stainless steel helical wire-rope isolators tuned to a natural frequency below 7 Hz filter high-frequency highway bumps and engine rumble.

Rotor Locking Mechanism

A mechanical rotor brake lock and axial shaft clamp prevent microscopic rotational flutter and axial chatter of the generator rotor during transit.

Hermetic N₂ Desiccation

The sealed turbine nacelle is pressurized to 5 psig ultra-pure dry nitrogen (Grade 5.0) with an automated regulator maintaining positive pressure across altitude changes.

03 Cleanroom Delivery, ESD Neutralization, and Clean Break Protocol

Airlock Wipe-Down Bay

Transporter enters an exterior positive-pressure airlock where trailer wheels and container exteriors are washed with deionized water and isopropyl alcohol wipes prior to opening cleanroom rollup doors.

Static Grounding Rods

Before unlashing the container, certified copper grounding cables connect the turbogenerator skid directly to facility earth grounding grids to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) across delicate SiC gate drivers.

Rotor Shaft Fretting Inspection

Quality engineers attach acoustic emission vibration sensors and spin the rotor manually at 50 RPM to detect any microscopic indentation or brinelling noise before receiving sign-off.
