01 Titanium Grade 7 & Inconel Process Heat Exchanger Protection

Deep supercritical geothermal power skids operate at pressures above 22.1 MPa and temperatures exceeding 374°C, tapping hyper-saline geothermal brine loaded with corrosive chlorides and silica. The shell-and-tube evaporators and pre-heaters are constructed from specialized Titanium Grade 7 (Palladium-stabilized) and Inconel 625 cladding.

During multi-axle heavy transport, the tube bundle expansion joints are immobilized using precision structural travel locks to prevent road-induced vibration fretting between the thin-wall tubes and support baffle plates. Exspeedite CheckPoint monitors tri-axial acceleration on the evaporator shell, ensuring dynamic shock loads remain below 0.45 G.

02 Extreme 14% Volcanic Switchback Push-Pull Heavy Haul Operations

Tractive Effort & Drawbar Pull

Reaching high-elevation geothermal production wells located along volcanic calderas (such as The Geysers in Mayacamas Mountains or Long Valley Caldera) requires navigating unpaved crushed basalt service roads with grades exceeding 12% to 14%.

  • Lead Tractor: 800 HP 8x8 heavy haul tractor with torque converter
  • Push Tractor: 800 HP 8x8 pushing prime mover with solid steel push bar
  • Combined Tractive Pull: 385 kN continuous tractive effort

Thermal Retarder & Switchback Articulation

Descent into volcanic canyons generates massive braking heat. Both tractors and multi-axle hydraulic platform trailers are equipped with hydraulic Voith retarders and water-spray cooled drum brakes. Hydraulic platform trailers feature multi-mode all-wheel steering to clear 180-degree hairpin turns with radii < 28 meters.

  • Braking Energy Dissipation: > 2,400 kW retarder capacity
  • Axle Steering Angle: ± 60° independent hydraulic steering
  • Swept Width Management: Pilot car radio-assisted rear steer control
