Hyperbaric Lifeboat (SPHL) Road Transport Audit Checklist
Standardized operational engineering protocols for transporting Self-Propelled Hyperbaric Lifeboats (SPHL) with divers pressurized under saturation: umbilical life-support linking, metabolic scrubber backup, oxygen replenishment, and high-speed emergency convoy routing.
01 Hyperbaric Rescue Craft & Diver Parameters
02 IMCA D 053 Emergency Compliance Audit PASS • MISSION READY
Continuous two-way RF communications linked to HRF medical director. Emergency decompression gas reserves secured in trailer forward saddle racks.
Umbilical Life Support in Motion
While aboard a multi-axle transport lowboy, an SPHL cannot rely on passive internal batteries alone when divers are at deep saturation. A dedicated chase truck with dual 45kVA diesel generators supplies continuous power to the CO2 scrubbers, hot-water warming loops, and telemetry monitors.
Thermal Management & Heliox Chill
Heliox gas conducts body heat away from divers six times faster than air. During road transit across cold or humid coastal climates, chamber temperature drops rapidly without external hot-water circulation, risking lethal diver hypothermia before the HRF facility is reached.
HRF Mating Collar Precision
The Hyperbaric Reception Facility (HRF) mates with the SPHL via a precision machined clamp ring. Transport lowboy cradles must feature hydraulic height fine-tuning to roll the SPHL directly into the HRF docking collar without cranes in under 15 minutes.
Register Hyperbaric Evacuation Transport Protocol
Prepare pre-authorized emergency transit plans, SPHL lowboy standby availability, and IMCA D 053 compliant convoy procedures for offshore saturation campaigns.
