Rabbinical Kosher Tanker Upgrade Calculator
Compute transition compliance for converting food-grade liquid bulk trailers from Non-Kosher or Dairy to Pareve / Kosher certified status under OU, Star-K, and OK Rabbinical supervision.
01 Tank Transition Parameters
Standard Halachic requirement: Minimum 24 hours complete dormancy before koshering wash.
02 Certified Koshering Mandate
Vessel meets Halachic dormancy rule. Permitted to proceed with Hagalah / Steam purge.
Halachic Principles of Liquid Bulk Tanker Koshering
Transporting certified kosher liquid foodstuffs—such as high-fructose corn syrup, refined vegetable oils, orange juice concentrate, and edible liquid chocolates—requires stringent koshering protocols when re-assigning stainless steel tank trailers. Because stainless steel is non-porous yet absorbs culinary flavor notes under high temperature (K'volo Kach Polto — "as it absorbs, so it emits"), any transition between non-kosher, dairy, and pareve necessitates rabbinical intervention.
1. Aino Ben Yomo (24-Hour Dormancy)
Halachic law mandates that any residual taste absorbed in the walls of the vessel becomes stale (Ta'am Pagum) after 24 hours of inactivity. The trailer must stand completely idle and clean for 24 continuous hours before boiling water or steam koshering can take place.
2. Hagalah (Thermal Steam Purge)
Purging the vessel requires live steam injected through rotary wash heads until boiling condensate discharges continuously from the rear 3-inch butterfly drain valve at or above 212°F (100°C) for a minimum of 20 to 30 continuous minutes.
3. Tamper-Evident Mashgiach Seals
Upon successful thermal validation and ATP inspection, the supervising Rabbi (Mashgiach) installs serialized, color-coded cable locks across the dome lid, atmospheric vents, pump fittings, and bottom outlet, cross-logged into the Exspeedite TMS Bill of Lading.
Exspeedite Kosher Carrier Dispatch & Traceability Suite
Exspeedite eliminates accidental non-kosher cross-contamination by hard-coding kosher classification rules into the dispatch workflow. When assigning a tractor-trailer to an OU or Star-K certified load, the system cross-references the last 3 hauled commodities, validates the 24-hour dormancy timestamp, and blocks dispatch confirmation until the Mashgiach certificate and seal numbers are entered and digitally verified.
