Commercial Diving Hyperbaric Saturation Chamber Transport Manual
Engineering protocols for mobilising multi-person saturation diving living chambers (DDC), medical transfer locks (TUP), and life-support environmental control skids between deepwater diving support vessels (DSVs) and marine fabrication bases.
01 Hyperbaric Chamber System & Trailer Configurator
02 IMCA D 024 Transit Compliance Engine AUDIT READY
Chamber cradle mounted on timber dampening runners. Tie-down turnbuckles wired against loosening. IMCA D 024 pre-transit sign-off documented.
ASME PVHO-1 Acrylic Care
Viewport acrylic windows represent the highest vulnerability during highway transit. Any micro-abrasion or road debris strike invalidates ASME PVHO-1 pressure certification, requiring hydrostatic chamber re-testing. Neoprene gaskets with bolted 10mm billet steel armor covers are mandatory on all viewports.
Gas Manifold & O2 Isolation
High-pressure breathing gas circuits (Heliox, pure O2, Nitrox) must be completely bled down, locked out, and tagged under IMCA D 024. Systems transported with residual gas above 1.0 bar atmospheric pressure fall under DOT Hazardous Materials regulations, requiring dedicated placarding, CDL HAZMAT endorsements, and special permits.
Multi-Axle Air-Ride Lowboy
Saturation chambers feature high centers of gravity due to internal bunk frameworks, hyperbaric scrubbers, and exterior gas manifolds. Trailers must utilize hydraulic multi-axle suspension with automated leveling valves to eliminate harmonic roll oscillation and keep transient shock below 0.5G tri-axially.
