Neutral Axis Offset
Unlike symmetrical circular solenoid coils, tokamak toroidal field coils feature an extended straight inboard leg and an asymmetric outer D-arc designed to equalize magnetic hoop stresses. In transport, this shifts the geometric CoG significantly toward the curved arc, necessitating custom lateral skid offset placement.
3-Point Hydraulic Equalization
Multi-axle SPMT transporters are configured in 3-point hydraulic groups (two oscillating rear quadrants and one consolidated forward apex) to ensure statically determinate load sharing. Even when transitioning over 6% highway superelevation, no single tire exceeds 8,250 kg.
Cryogenic Boil-Off Dynamics
Cold-transport skids holding sub-cooled liquid nitrogen (77K) or supercritical helium (4.2K) generate continuous boil-off vapors under road vibration. Dual ASME certified relief valves prevent over-pressurization while redundant catalytic vent stacks disperse vapor safely away from escort convoys.
