Keep the equipment, instructions and commercial move connected
Tanker operations need more than a generic load status. Product instructions, equipment identity, prior-cargo evidence and the authorized review can affect whether a movement is ready. EXSPEEDITE TMS provides dispatch, documents, rating, driver settlement and accounting scope around that operating workflow.
The right evaluation begins with your actual commodity and equipment requirements. Identify what the application records, which external source supplies specialized evidence and who may authorize the operating decision. A stored document or checkbox is not an independent determination of tank compatibility or transport legality.
Bring the tanker's difficult cases into the demonstration
A changed tractor, tank or compartment can make an earlier review incomplete. A wash document may be present but refer to different equipment. A driver record may need an endorsement review that belongs to an authorized person. The workflow should preserve the relevant identities and the reason a movement is held or released.
Use your approved procedures to define required records and decisions. This page does not promise native chemical-compatibility engineering, automatic placard selection, endorsement authorization or a certified tank-wash system. Those requirements must be scoped and demonstrated with the appropriate domain owner before they become product commitments.
A proposed tanker operating path
- Capture the customer order and the applicable product and handling instructions. Preserve the version associated with the move.
- Identify assigned equipment and relevant compartment references. Review any substitution before carrying forward the earlier approval.
- Associate the required prior-cargo, wash or cleaning evidence from the approved source. Keep a mismatch visible rather than interpreting it as a completed review.
- Route specialized qualification, placarding or compatibility questions to the authorized personnel and source systems defined by your operation.
- Dispatch the approved movement and associate BOL, delivery and exception documents with the shipment.
- Apply the actual tariff, accessorial and driver-pay agreement, then reconcile the approved financial handoff.
Food-grade and chemical movements need their own basis
Do not apply a food-grade procedure to a chemical movement merely because the equipment appears similar. Product, prior cargo, equipment and governing instructions determine the relevant evidence. For food transportation, sanitary responsibilities and records require their own applicability review. A software record supports that process but does not replace it.
For hazardous-material movements, establish the applicable classification and authorized instructions through your qualified process. Your systems discussion should identify where that decision enters the operating record, who can change it and how a revised instruction reaches dispatch. The TMS should not be portrayed as issuing a permit or endorsement simply because it stores a reference.
Evaluate commercial control alongside the specialized workflow
Tanker billing can include stop, detention, handling or other negotiated items. Bring the agreement and a redacted example. Show how approved evidence supports the proposed charge and how a disputed item remains separate from uncontested billing. The same discipline applies to driver settlement and recurring deductions.
Request a tanker architecture review with Scott Elliott. Describe your equipment, commodity, external evidence sources and the hardest handoff. We will define a demonstration around the actual operating requirement, with specialized extensions identified before they are sold as delivered functionality.
Questions from tanker carriers
Is tank-wash tracking a guaranteed native module?
This page does not make that commitment. Define the wash source, equipment identifiers, document requirements and review workflow, then confirm the proposed configuration end to end before including it in the scope.
Does the TMS determine chemical compatibility?
No automatic engineering determination is promised. Your qualified process and approved instructions establish compatibility. The system architecture should preserve the supporting record and authorized decision.
Can we include driver tank or hazmat endorsement checks?
Make the source, verification responsibility, update frequency and exception path explicit. A stored driver attribute is not the same as a current authorized qualification determination.
How should a trailer substitution be handled?
The demonstration should identify which records depend on the equipment being changed and which reviews must be repeated. Do not inherit the old tank's evidence without checking its applicability.
Can negotiated accessorials and pay rules be evaluated?
Yes. Bring the actual agreement and expected result. EXSPEEDITE's baseline rating and driver-settlement scope can be evaluated alongside the specialized evidence required by your movement.
What defines a successful pilot?
A pilot should show traceable equipment identity, retrievable evidence, an owned exception, approved calculations and an explainable accounting result. Do not assign a made-up safety outcome or avoided penalty to the demonstration.
