3-A SANITARY STANDARD 05-15 & FDA FSMA COMPLIANCE

3-A Sanitary Tanker CIP Wash Manual

Eliminate dairy and liquid food spoilage claims. Standardize automated Clean-In-Place (CIP) rotary spray balls, 180°F caustic cleaning cycles, EPDM gasket teardowns, and ATP bioluminescence swab auditing.

01

Automated CIP Spray Balls

High-impact dual-axis rotary impingement spray heads deliver 360-degree coverage inside 316L stainless vessels, stripping butterfat films without manual confined space entry.

02

180°F Caustic Circulation

Circulate 1.5% to 2.0% sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) solution at 180°F for minimum 25 minutes, followed by an organic acid rinse (phosphoric/nitric) to dissolve mineral milkstone.

03

Complete Gasket Teardown

Disassemble 3-inch sanitary rear butterfly valves, vent breathers, and manhole dome seals. Inspect white silicone or EPDM food-grade O-rings for cuts, pinching, or odor absorption.

04

ATP Bioluminescence Swab

Swab dome covers, rear sump discharge, and baffle seams. Relative Light Units (RLU) must register under 10 RLU to certify zero microbial presence before stamping wash tickets.

Electronic FSMA Wash Ticket Logging

Instant Dairy & Juice Plant Gate Clearance

Certified food-grade wash stations upload time-stamped wash certificates and ATP test swabs directly into Exspeedite TMS, authorizing drivers to load immediately upon arriving at receiving dairies.
