EPA CLEAN AIR ACT & SILO OVERFILL PREVENTION

Silo Overfill & Baghouse Filter Safety

Prevent catastrophic silo roof ruptures and environmental cement dust geysers. Monitor baghouse magnehelic pressure differentials, test high-level horns, and enforce driver emergency shutoffs.

01

High-Level Alarm Interlocks

Paddle switches and radar level probes signal when silo volume hits 90% full. Automated pinch valves slam shut the tanker fill pipe, preventing powdered cement from filling the baghouse chamber.

02

Magnehelic Differential Pressure

Baghouse filter backpressure must stay between 2 and 6 inches of water column (W.C.). Pressure exceeding 8" W.C. indicates blinded bags that will pop silo relief hatches under 14 PSI blower air.

03

Ground-Level E-Stop Buttons

Every offload station requires a driver-accessible emergency stop to disengage the truck PTO blower and open tank blow-down valves within 3 seconds of hearing an overfill alarm.

Environmental Liability Shield

Plant Delivery Sign-Off & Headspace Confirmation

Exspeedite TMS prompts drivers to capture plant operator initials and silo level gauge readings before connecting hoses, shielding carriers from costly plant cleanup fines.
