02 Crane Capacity & Stability Telemetry LIFT APPROVED

Derated Crane SWL (At Radius) 715 MT SWL Utilization: 72.7% (Safe ≤ 90%)
Anti-Heel Compensated List ± 1.2° List Uncompensated: 6.8° (Severe)
Anti-Heeling Ballast Volume 385 MT Seawater
Ballast Transfer Duration 10.5 minutes
Design Lift Load (Factoring DAF) 624 MT Factored
Quay Fender Reaction Load 92 MT / fender

Lift engineering parameters satisfy DNVGL-ST-N001 and vessel Stability Book criteria. Crane outreach derating maintains ≥ 10% safety reserve.

Crane Outreach Radius Derating

Heavy lift vessel cranes achieve rated capacity only at minimum working radius (typically 12 to 14 meters). As the boom lowers to reach shore quays or barge centers, bending moment limitations reduce safe working load following non-linear load curves.

Active Anti-Heeling Response

During heavy over-the-side lifting, large transverse heeling moments threaten vessel stability. Automated anti-heeling systems transfer up to 3,000 m³/hr of seawater across double-bottom wing tanks to restrict dynamic vessel list to ≤ 2.5°.

Twin Tandem Equalization

Tandem lifts require synchronized PLC-controlled hoisting and luffing with heavy spreader beams. Rigging geometry must ensure equal 50/50 load sharing within ±3% to prevent asymmetric overload of one crane.
