Substation Transformer Skidding & Jacking Calculator
Engineering specification for the final-mile offloading and foundation pad positioning of 500 kV utility autotransformers: PTFE low-profile skid tracks, hydraulic push-pull cylinder mechanics, and ground bearing cribbing validation.
01 Transformer Weight & Skidding Interface
02 Hydraulic Power & Soil Bearing Telemetry SKID LOAD COMPLIANT
Skidding parameters confirmed. Hydraulic cylinder push forces and ground pressure under timber cribbing satisfy IEEE C57.93 installation standards.
PTFE Low-Friction Track
Low-profile skidding tracks utilize virgin PTFE pads bearing against polished stainless steel sliding surfaces. This reduces break-out sliding friction coefficients to under 0.08, dramatically reducing required cylinder push forces.
Synchronized Jacking & Cribbing
Four-point synchronized climbing jacks raise or lower the transformer incrementally using precision hardwood oak or composite cribbing stacks. Multi-channel pressure sensors prevent differential height tilt exceeding 10 mm.
Foundation Pad Transition
Bridging beams carry the transformer across the gap between the temporary yard track and the permanent reinforced concrete containment pad, eliminating point-loading shear stresses on the containment wall lip.
